Customer satisfaction survey for UM catering services

Twice a year, a customer satisfaction survey is carried out for the catering contract. From 14 to 25 May, you will be able to score the catering services of the UM. The scores and comments from the survey are valuable input for the improvements which will be implemented within the catering locations.

The feedback provided by previous editions has already helped to make a number of improvements:

• Albron has developed Yummy the butterfly for UM, which is a symbol for healthy eating and sustainability. Changes have been made to the packing materials for sandwiches in particular in order to reduce the amount of waste. Our university restaurants also serve soup made by De Verspillingsfabriek. This soup is made from vegetables that previously would have been thrown away.
• In the academic year to come, the partnership between Albron and Green Office will be promoting healthy products by pairing the concept to a weekly theme such as Viva la veggies, Pasta la vista, Meatless Monday (or less meat) (any day), Plato loco (South American style) and Potato lovers.
• Get's Chef: in order to reduce food wastage, you will be able to use the Get Chef’s app from the start of the academic year. This app offers restaurant food and products at attractive discount prices, all made from ingredients that would otherwise have been thrown away. The app provides both students and staff with an opportunity to get a decently priced meal.

• Fresh pizzas: we have added freshly made, à la minute pizzas to our range, priced upward from € 6.50. Students will be able to choose from the various pizzas on the menu or create a pizza with the ingredients that they want. Anyone looking for a snack or for lunch will be able to get a pizza for upwards of € 4.00.
• In addition, students can get great discounts using the combo deals, where they will be able to combine various food and drinks options at a discount price. Students will now also be able to purchase individual rolls and cold cuts, allowing them to have a cheap lunch.
• Bakery Café Loyalty Card: anyone who regularly pops in for a nice cup of coffee, a cappuccino or a latte macchiato will be happy to use the Bakery loyalty card. Customers who purchase 10 refreshments will receive their 11th purchase free of charge.

• Sun-filled outdoor terrace: an outdoor terrace has been installed outside the Bakery Café at Universiteitssingel 30, large enough to seat 100 people. In addition, an Albron ice cream truck will be making its rounds at various locations this coming year.
• Banqueting: the new banqueting brochure has been introduced and includes more organic products. The sandwiches are now fully organically sourced, which is in line with UM sustainability policy. We are also increasingly catering tailored events which offer buffets, barbecues and even food trucks.

Despite these changes, there is always room for further improvements – so please let us know what we can do better! Are you are not yet a member and would you like to take part in the surveys? Then sign up here!
